Adding entries and logging black holes is fairly easy. At its core all that's needed is 3 pieces of information:

The Region Name, the System Name, and the Galactic Coordinates of the system.

If you'd like you can add more advanced information, but we'll cover that further down. Let's cover the basics:

IMPORTANT - FIRST, make a copy of this Google Sheet template by saving it in your Google Drive account.

FROM THE TOP MENU, SELECT "FILE ---> Add to My Drive". This will save the bulk sheet to your GDrive Account so that you can edit it.

The Region Name can be found on the Galaxy Map menu.

Each Region has one black hole located in the 0079 coordinate system. The EASIEST way to find black holes on the Galaxy Map is to complete the "Atlas Path" mission.

Once you create a Star Seed for the Atlas and choose to create a new star system, the Galaxy Map will show you where black hole systems are located.

Technically you can also receive nearby black hole locations from Nada on Anomaly Stations (not recommended for logging black holes in modest quantities).

A star system's name can be found in your Discovery menu, and also on the Galaxy map. (PLEASE NOTE - Black Hole Suns STRONGLY RECOMMENDS THAT

YOU NOT RENAME THE SYSTEM WHERE A BLACK HOLE EXISTS. This is in order to support consistency across gaming platforms)

You get the Coordinates by using the glyphs shown at the bottom left of a screenshot, or by using a signal booster. It will give you a string of info such as HUKYA:046A:0081:0D6D:0079

Ignore the first set of letters, they're not useful for mapping, you want the 16 characters after that - 046A:0081:0D6D:0079 - That's what you want to enter in this column.

(Pro-Tip: remember you can pick the portable Signal Booster back up and reuse it)

When you exit out of the black hole, simply add the information for that system the same way on the right-hand Exit columns.

Once you have collected your black hole data and you want to upload the entries to the BHS project database, you must

first convert the tab with the data on your worksheet to a CSV file prior to uploading by selecting the circled options:

Once you have exported your worksheet to .CSV format, proceed to the main data site

to log in and upload your .CSV file. You can review the upload and error-checking

When you add entries on the sheet it will give information about its distance, which quadrant it's in, where its exit is, and how much closer to the Center of the galaxy you've traveled.

It will even plot the path you entered for you.
